At Gold Creek Community Church, we recognize the spiritual and personal importance of marriage as it is a reflection of Christ’s love for His church. We base our understanding of what marriage means on Scripture and how Jesus defines marriage and its significance: “…They record that from the beginning ‘God made them male and female.’” And he said, “‘This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.’ Since they are no longer two but one, let no one split apart what God has joined together.” Matthew 19:4b-6 NLT

As you look into preparing for a marriage ceremony, check out frequently asked questions below, and fill out the interest form to get into communication with our wedding coordinator. We see it as a great honor to lead you into this holy union.

  • We will provide ministers that perform spiritual weddings defined by Jesus.
  • We will help you plan a spiritual ceremony that puts God at the center of your marriage and inspires others.
  • We will help you prepare for a lifetime commitment with tools and resources.
  • We will help you find counseling that will prepare you for marriage.
  • We will provide you with assistance for the legal license process.

We will require a period of celibacy before the wedding.

First, you will meet with our wedding coordinator to fill out paperwork, ask questions, and get clarity on what to do leading up to your wedding day. This includes direction on obtaining a marriage license, as well as premarital reading material. A secondary meeting will take place where you will meet with the officiant to go over the ceremony before the big day.
